FAQs
How long does a dental visit last?
Your first visit will last an hour or a bit longer. After that, checkups take about a half hour, and cleanings the same. Dr. Wardlaw or our front-office team members can tell you how long your other visits should take. Time will be based on the procedures you need. Whether you're here for an initial consultation or scheduled treatment, we will never rush you in and out. We care about doing things right, as well as about you personally. We want to know about your family, your life, and your latest vacation! The time we spend with you building a lasting relationship and providing excellent care is valuable, and we're honored to be a part of your life and your smile.
How much does dental work cost?
We will be happy to tell you the cost of your appointment beforehand, upon request. If you have dental insurance, be sure to let us know. We can estimate the portion you’ll be responsible for and bill your insurance company for the balance. If you need a filling, crown, or other restorative work, we provide many payment and financing options to make your dental care affordable, including CareCredit third-party financing and our in-house payment plans.
Will you file my insurance?
Absolutely. We file insurance and work to maximize your benefits. Call for details!
My gums bleed when I brush. Should I be worried?
If your gums bleed, you may be brushing too hard, or you may have gum disease. Because the early symptoms of gum disease are mild, many people don’t recognize the problem. Left untreated, gum disease can progress to cause tooth loss, gum recession, and increased risk for heart attack, stroke, and other serious health concerns. Call our Arlington dental office to schedule an appointment with our hygienist for a thorough periodontal evaluation and consultation.
Will Dr. Wardlaw see my children?
We love to see kids at the office! As a general and family dentistry practice, we welcome patients of any age. Our mission is to provide quality care to Arlington families and those from the surrounding area, too. Read more about our children’s dentistry services.
